<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pupil color correction device capable of performing high quality correction without sense of incongruity in pupil correction by estimating lightness before a phenomenon of pupil color abnormality occurs and correcting the pupil color so as to reproduce the lightness to prevent the pupil from being corrected to be white. <P>SOLUTION: The pupil color correction device includes a skin color specifying part 13 for specifying the skin color of a subject person in an input image, a skin correction color calculating part 14 for searching a skin correction color being the color of the pupils of the person estimated on the basis of the skin color specified by the skin color specifying part, and a correcting part 19 for correcting the color of the pupils of the subject person on the basis of a pupil correction reference color determined by the skin correction color. The correcting part estimates lightness before a color tone abnormality such as a red eye of pixels of a pupil part of the subject person from G and B values of the pixels and corrects the color of the pupils of the subject person on the basis of the pupil correction reference color based on the skin correction color and the estimated lightness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
