<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a thin and lightweight video display device, such as a plasma display device, of which a theft is deterred by configuring the device in such a manner that a person other than the original user cannot normally use the device. <P>SOLUTION: The video display device is so configured as to limit or prohibit the output of an input video/or speech when the detection of the standby current of the video display device is performed and when the power source of the video display device is turned on by way of the state that the standby current is not detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
