According to an embodiment of the present invention, a stereoscopic image display apparatus may comprise: an image decoding unit recovering stereoscopic image data by decoding source image data which has been encoded by a pre-determined video encoding format; a stereoscopic image separation unit separating original stereoscopic images from the recovered stereoscopic image data; a stereoscopic image post-processing device generating corrected stereoscopic images of which a brightness contrast value of an object area and a background area of the original stereoscopic images are corrected by a pre-determined reference brightness contrast value; and a formatter formatting the corrected stereoscopic images through a pre-determined stereoscopic image display method to transmit the same to a display. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a stereoscopic image post-processing apparatus capable of reducing visual fatigue.
