PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal-supporting mesoporous silica capable of carrying a metal on the inside of pores of an outside surface and an inside of pores of the mesoporous silica.SOLUTION: There is provide a method for producing a metal-supporting mesoporous silica which comprises: a first step of immersing mesoporous silica in a first solution to adsorb the first solution to the inside of pores of the mesoporous silica; a second step of immersing the mesoporous silica obtained in the first step in a second solution containing a supported metal salt; and a third step of removing the first solution and the second solution from the mesoporous silica obtained in the second step, where the first solution and the second solution are not miscible and the coefficient of partition of the first solution to the second solution of the supported metal salt is 8.1 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
