PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for heating in a microwave oven, excellent in a balance between transparency, rigidity, practical strength, heat resistance, whitening resistance in an oil contact condition, chemical resistance, and contractility resistance, and suitably usable especially for a food container application which requires heat resistance sufficient to cook in a microwave oven, and a cooking method using the container.SOLUTION: A container for heating in a microwave oven has a maximum orientation easing stress temperature of the container of 110°C-130°C, a folding strength (FE) of 1.0-3.0, a ratio (a)/(b) of a top face thickness (a) of the container to an average thickness (b) of a molded front sheet of 0.6-1.0, and a minimum curvature radius of a salient of 2-10 mm, by using a biaxial oriented sheet which has used an acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer containing 10-40 mass% of acrylonitrile component.
