An apparatus for inducing sojourn water employed in a hot leveler is provided to the leveled strip from being deformed or defective by preventing the generation of a phenomenon that sojourn water of quenching cooling water from being spread on an upper surface of a leveled strip. An apparatus for inducing sojourn water employed in a hot leveler comprises: a leveler(24) through which a strip(27) rolled in a rolling process passes to quench and level the strip; quenching cooling water lines(33) respectively installed upper and lower parts of one side of the leveled strip to spray cooling water onto the leveled strip; upper and lower nozzles(25,26) respectively installed on the quenching cooling water lines; and a sojourn water induction receiver(28) installed at one sides of the quenching cooling water lines to simultaneously flow in and discharge cooling sojourn water of the leveled strip, and absorb an impact generated during spraying of cooling water, wherein the sojourn water induction receiver is formed in a cylindrical pipe shape as a whole, an inlet opened toward the quenching cooling water lines is formed in the sojourn water induction receiver to flow the sojourn water into the sojourn water induction receiver, and an absorption unit is installed on an inner face of the sojourn water induction receiver opposite to the inlet so as to absorb an impact generated during spraying of cooling water and prevent the cooling water from being scattered.
