PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correction method for an ink jet head and an ink jet recording apparatus capable of making the output density uniform among groups of nozzles in the ink jet head.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording apparatus performing droplet amount modulation by a continuous injection drive system is configured to correct the drive voltage in units of groups. When printing is performed, a correction chart is output which contains two or more types of dots with droplet quantities different from each other by applying a dot type distribution process so as to measure the density of the printed correction chart. Correction charts are output with voltage correction values allocated, and the voltage correction value for drive voltage representing the target density is determined on the basis of the density measurement result of each correction chart. The voltage correction value of each group is determined to make uniform the printing density of individual groups constituting an ink jet head. |
