<p>1319253 Veterinary medicament application GALDONOST DYNAMICS (NZ) Ltd 5 June 1970 [6 June 1969] 27371/70 Addition to 1271575 Heading A5B In a method of applying a veterinary medicament to an area of posture in order to administer the medicament to herbivorous animals grazing thereon, the medicament is dissolved in a solution of an alginate and applying the so formed solution or dispersion to the said area. The area after application may be oversprayed with a solution of a non- toxic salt of a metal forming an insoluble alginate, e.g. calcium chloride and further, optionally, after overspraying with the salt, the area is treated with an alkaline solution to raise the pH of the gel and thus make the medicament more readily available. Thiabendazole and Bloat Oil are used as medicaments.</p> |
