A method for validating a deposit bond

A validation system for validating a deposit bond comprises a user interface for an authorised user to input bond identification data to identify the deposit bond and vendor identification data to identify the vendor and a deposit bonds database to store issued bonds. The system also has a verification engine to receive the bond identification data, and to verify the deposit bond by searching for an issued bond which matches the bond identification data and which has not been validated; and a validation engine to validate the deposit bond by storing the vendor identification data together with the corresponding bond in the deposit bonds database, if the deposit bond is verified.
