PURPOSE:To form a lightweight composite sink having excellent appearance of marble patterns and excellent impact strength by laminating an artificial marble layer and a reinforcing layer. CONSTITUTION:Artificial marble used herein is obtained by using a thermosetting resin, a filler and a curing agent as main components and, as the thermosetting resin, an acrylic resin and an unsaturated polyester resin are pref. from the aspect of excellent appearance and moldability. As the filler, calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide and the like are designated and these fillers can be used together. Next, as a reinforcing layer, material quality having high strength may be used and a metal layer is pref. from the aspect of excellent strength against the impact due to the falling of heavy matter. As a resin used in a fiber reinforced resin, unsaturated polyester or vinyl ester is pref. from the aspect of excellent heat resistance and strength. As a fiber reinforcing material compounded with this resin, a glass fiber and a carbon fiber can be used independently or together. |
