PURPOSE:To simply and efficiently search a biofilm formation-inhibiting agent and a biofilm formation-accelerating agent without performing a field test. CONSTITUTION:A marine bacterium belonging to the genus Rhodospirillus, Cyclobacterium, Hyphomicrobium, Hyphomonas, Pediomicrobium, Procesecomicrobium, Alteromonas, Deleya, Pseudomonas or Marinomonas and capable of adhering to a matter and producing a saccharide, etc., is cultured, and an agent-coated matter is immersed in the culture solution to determine the saccharide originated from the marine microorganism and stuck to the matter. Thereby, the activity of the agent for the formation of the biofilm is evaluated. |
