PURPOSE: To interactively execute the correction of a color picture with a high speed. CONSTITUTION: A device for interactively correcting an image displayed by digital data defining the color contents of pixels in an image based on color elements defining a first color space is provided with a storage part 1 which stores an original image, a collation chart 2 for converting the image into a second color space, and a storage part 3 which stores display by the second color space. The second color space is defined by second color elements with lower resolution than that of the first color space. The display by the second color space is supplied through the collation chart 4 for interactively correcting the image in a color with low resolution, and the content is controlled by an operator, and the corrected version is displayed on a monitor 6. When the satisfactory correction is obtained, the original image of the storage part 1 is corrected, and stored in the first color space of a storage part 13. Also, a control data array such as mask can be generated from the image in the color with low resolution stored in the storage part 3. |
