PURPOSE:To obtain the subject new receptor, specifically linking to prostaglandin D, useful as a preventive or a therapeutic agent for diseases caused by excessive production of prostaglandin D, an immunopotentiometer, an inhibitor for bleeding tendency, by culturing a transformed host cell. CONSTITUTION:This prostaglandin D receptor contains a polypeptide chain having an amino acid sequence of the formula, is useful as a preventive or a therapeutic agent for diseases caused by excessive production of prostaglandin D, such as an immunopotentiometer, an inhibitor for bleeding tendency, etc., because of specific bond to prostaglandin (PG)D2 and is useful for screening a substance having PGD2 agonist or antagonist activity. The PGD receptor is obtained by a host cell transformed with a manifestation vector containing a DNA encoding a polypeptide containing an amino acid sequence of the formula.
