PURPOSE: To have an appropriate supporting means which can safely absorb force applied to a surface of an inner vessel during transportation and incorporate the inner vessel suspended within an outer shell. CONSTITUTION: The double-walled container for transporting and storing liquefied gas comprises an inner liquefied gas holding vessel 3 and an outer shell 5. The inner vessel 3 includes a longitudinal shaft A and a pair of opposite ends 11, 11' on the shaft A. The outer shell 5 encloses the inner vessel 3, is coaxial with the vessel 3, and forms a closed heat-insulated space 23 all around it. The outer shell 5 further has a pair of opposite ends 25, 25' on the longitudinal shaft A.
