PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective avoidance of lowering of the quality of an image printed on a recording medium, by providing a means to supply an ink jet head part with a head drive signal for controlling a state of jetting of printing ink from each nozzle end part in the ink jet head part, and others. SOLUTION: Data DA1' to DAn' being the respective bases of a set of an ink jet control signal QI1 and a transparent solvent jet control signal QW1 to a set of an ink jet control signal QIn and a transparent solvent jet control signal QWn, which are head drive signals formed in a head drive signal forming part 66, are obtained by subjecting data DL1 to DLn obtained from a frame memory part 62 to a gray level information transform processing executed by a gray level information transform part 65 and also to an area tone computation processing executed by an area tone computation part 64 and enabling output of a multiple value. This enables avoidance of the lowering of a gray level and a tone due to the nonuniformity in the characteristics of jetting of printing ink of nozzle end parts in an ink jet head part, and others. |
