<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit to be miniaturized without deteriorating light use efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A hologram element H11 allows light beams from hologram units HU2, HU3 to be transmitted as they are and diffracts a light beam from a hologram unit HU1 toward a +X direction. A hologram element H31 allows the light beam which is from the hologram unit HU2 and passes through the hologram element H11, and the diffracted light beam from the hologram element H11 to be transmitted as they are and diffracts the light beam, which is from the hologram unit HU3 and passes through the hologram element H11, toward the +X direction.
