Roller shutter door

The roller shutter door (4) is made up of a number of interlinked strip elements (3) whose outer ends are set in guides. The door is stored between overhead horizontal guides in the open position and drops between vertical guides into a closed position. Two spring systems (6) are fitted to the sides of the door mechanism to compress as the door is closed, thereby supporting part of the weight of the door. The springs are set inside tubes whose internal cross section matches the spring cross section. A slit up one side of each tube allows a thrust element (18) of the door to rest on the top of each spring. Alternately each spring is compressed by a cable connection to the door.
