Lance and apparatus for the production of a liquid jet of CO2 and its use for a surface cleaning installation

The lance, designed to produce a jet of liquid CO2, has a coupling (5) for connecting it to a pressurised source of the liquid, a progressive expansion system (3) and an outlet nozzle (9). The expansion system (3) is in the form of a capillary tube (29), especially spiral in shape. The nozzle contains a tube (91) for ejecting the liquid CO2, and incorporates a regulator (103,109) for the outlet jet aperture, made to let in a variable air flow. The forward part (113) of the nozzle is in the form of a barrel shaped to produce carbon dioxide snow.
