An ostomy appliance comprising a faceplate with all adhesive wafer for securing the faceplate to the peristomal skin of a user, and a collection pag securable to the faceplate. The adhesive wafer has radially extending tongues and concave contour portions between the tongues. This arrangement makes the appliance particular useful for attachment to irregular skin areas, and a further advantage is, that skin problems may be reduced. <IMAGE>
