PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital video processing unit that processes video data of a sub-image superimposed on a main image. SOLUTION: This digital video processor 10 is provided with a memory 12 that stores sub-video data, a CPU 13 connected to the memory 12 for processing a 1st part of the sub-video data, and a sub-video processor 20 that connects to the memory 12 and processes pixel data of a sub-image, in response to the CPU 13. In the digital video processor 10, the video processor 20 generates a color code for a scanning processing period for image display. Furthermore, the execution of instruction data is shared by the CPU 13, running on a program and the sub-video processor 20 that is dedicated hardware. |
