The seat backs (1, 2), which are arranged adjacent and vertically in the same plane, to form a row. Each carries an arm (31, 32). The seat backs are provided with hinged fittings on the lower part of each end and linked to the seat frame to allow the backs to tip forward. The central link (11), between the two seat backs, is common to both backs and the links (11a) at the outer extremes are identical.
