Portable computer with detachable screen

The computer has a base unit (2) which takes up the computer and the keyboard. A hinged mechanism (4) closes the screen over and detaches with the monitor screen (6) from the base unit. When the screen and hinge are detached from the base, they are replaced by an adapter which is set into the monitor and hinge receptacles. A cable is connected with the adapter which connects the adapter to a support for the detached monitor. The support has hinged supports to position the LCD screen at a suitable distance from the surface of a overhead projector. The supports have cool air outlets for the rear side of the screen.
