PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for ink-jet recording that has excellent resistance to water, when printed on plain paper, and has excellent solution stability, has a yellow suitable for color printing and is inactive to the part that comes into contact with the ink in the ink-jet recorder. SOLUTION: In an ink for ink-jet recording comprising a solution composition including water-soluble dyes and a liquid medium for dissolving the water-soluble dyes, two or more kinds of yellow direct dyes that have no difference in solubility in the liquid medium at 25 deg.C and at 0 deg.C are mixed, or the yellow direct dye is mixed with another yellow direct dye that has difference in solubility in the liquid medium at 25 deg.C and at 0 deg.C in single and a low-vapor pressure, water-soluble organic solvent is further added to the liquid medium to increase thereby the solution stability of the yellow direct dyes with no addition of alkaline substance. |
