A device for opening/closing a front cover of an indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to open or close a front cover according to operation of the indoor unit in a simplified structure for preventing introduction of impurities or dust into the indoor unit. A device for opening/closing a front cover of an indoor unit of an air conditioner includes a front cover(20) hinge-connected to a front panel of the indoor unit for rotating to be opened or closed, and a guide element(30) fixed at a rear side of the front cover and formed with a circumferential guide groove(34). A rotation element is connected to the guide groove of the guide element at an end and receives power at the other end from a driving element(50), so that the rotation element rotates along the guide groove for opening or closing the front cover. The rotation element has a guide protrusion(41) to be inserted into the guide groove, a connection bar(42) extended toward the driving element, and a rotation bar(43) connected to a driving shaft of the driving element. |
