PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device for a living chicken in a poultry farm, automatically displaying a mark on the body part of the chicken having a specified weight range, or heavier, and capable of being shipped or dismembered. SOLUTION: This marking device 1 for the living chicken is arranged in a floor 2 of a breeding henhouse where live hens are freely playing, and in a basket body 3, water-feeding tools 4 for supplying feed or water to the living chicken are installed. At the outside lower part position of each of openings 9, a weighing device 10 is arranged, and at the weighing device 10, when the living chicken drink water 7 housed in a housing part 6 of the water-feeding tool 4 at the inside of the basket body 3, a perch state weighing stand 11 on which the live hen stands with legs and stays, in stalled. At the opening 9, a contact element 12 detecting the touch of the live hen drinking water is installed, the weighing device 10 is activated in the state of this drinking water 7 and at the weighing device 10, a colored liquid is injected from an injection nozzle 15 within a set standard range of the body weight of the living chicken for displaying the mark at the body part of the living chicken.
