PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a readily usable and inexpensive water level-controlling valve, mainly used in water control for paddy fields, capable of automatically stopping or starting water supply or water discharge at a set water level and having simple structure. SOLUTION: This water level-controlling valve 10 is composed mainly of an inner cylinder 14 connected to a water supply pipe or a water discharge pipe, an outer cylinder 16 fitted to the inner cylinder 14 and a float 18 connected to the side of the outer cylinder 16, and the outer cylinder 16 can be rotated only at a definite angle around the inner cylinder 14, and either one state of a state in which an opening 20 provided in the inner cylinder 14 is made to communicate with an opening 22 provided in the outer cylinder 16 and a state in which both openings is not made to communicate with each other is selected by whether rotation of the definite angle is carried out or not.
