<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid core golf ball capable of preventing deterioration of ball characteristics caused by absorbing water vapor or moisture. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball has a core, a barrier layer for wrapping the core, and a cover for wrapping the barrier layer. The barrier layer has water vapor permeability lower than that of the cover.
