PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder lithium secondary battery preventing short circuiting of an electrode assembly.

SOLUTION: The cylinder lithium secondary battery contains; a wind up type electrode assembly 300 provided with a first electrode plate 310, a second electrode plate 320 and a separator 340 intervening between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate 2; a core member 700 inserted in a core part of the wind up type electrode assembly 300 and provided with a short circuiting preventing part 720; a case 400 provided with a space for storing the electrode assembly 300; and a cap assembly 500 connected to a top part of the case 400 and sealing it.
