<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply pump having improved reliability against fuel leakage by improving the performance of sealing a fuel passage between a flange part and a pump body. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel supply pump comprises the pump body including a plurality of fuel pressure chambers, and the flange part for holding the pump body and fixing the pump body to an internal combustion engine. The pump body whose one end faces the opposite face of the flange part has a plurality of suction passages for supplying low pressure fuel to the plurality of fuel pressure chambers, respectively. The flange part has a plurality of fuel passages communicated with the plurality of suction passages, respectively. Between the pump body and the flange part, a gasket is provided which has a plurality of seal parts for preventing fuel leakage from communication areas between the suction passage and the fuel passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
