<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffracting structure including the information hidden in a color image and a tool for discriminating the hidden information. <P>SOLUTION: The light diffracting structure, in which the color image is recorded by assembling diffraction gratings, is composed of a stripe pair, which are formed in parallel to have even pitches and each of which is composed of a first stripe consisting of a diffraction grating in which colors of at least three grating pitches are added/blended and a second stripe consisting of another diffraction grating in which colors of at least three grating pitches different from those of the first stripe are added/blended, and has such an area that the stripe pair are made to cross each other at right angles.
