<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power reduction device for reducing power consumption in data backup, the device extending the backup time of data, particularly, by successively stopping power supply to a memory whose backup has been completed. <P>SOLUTION: In an FB-DIMM configured of a plurality of DIMM 19, a hot swap circuit for supplying a power to each DIMM 19 is set, and the power source of a hot swap circuit 18 corresponding to the DIMM 19 which has completed the saving processing of the data is successively shut-down. Thus, it is possible to suppress power consumption to be used in the data backup, and to perform the backup processing of data for a longer period of time in a power reduction device in battery backup. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
