<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of setting a bet by a set bet rate and/or variable bet rate, by operating on a pool of bets, and by precluding total amount paid to a competitive result from exceeding total usable amount. <P>SOLUTION: This method of setting the bet allocates the set bet rate for the bet due to each set bet rate, as to the set bet rate in the competitive result, and prepares a record of the bet (including the set bet rate in the record). The one or plurality of variable bet rates for 0, 1 or more of competitive results is determined, (i) by dividing the pool of the bets into the number of results to which dividends must be paid, (ii) by reducing an amount, taking a commission into consideration, (iii) by reducing the amount, taking an amount reserved to be paid out for the bet due to the set bet rate on the competitive result into consideration, and (iv) by operating the pool of bets to divide a bet due to the variable bet rate in the competitive result, in every competitive result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
