<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion vector search device capable of highly precise search for a motion vector without requiring a large storage capacity in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: In the motion vector search device, a reference image, an image to be processed, and a weighting parameter with respect to the reference image are inputted and from these, the motion vector is searched for. The device is provided with: an inverse weighting processing part which, with respect to the image to be processed, uses the weighting parameter to perform inverse weighting of weighting whose performance is assumed to the reference image by using the weighting parameter, and generating an image to which the inverse weighting is processed; an image comparison part for comparing the generated image to which the inverse weighting is processed with the reference image and obtaining comparison value indicating similarity between the two images; and a determination part for using the comparison value to determine an optimal motion vector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
