<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite soft magnetic iron powder for producing a composite soft magnetic material having high specific resistance and low core loss. <P>SOLUTION: The composite soft magnetic iron powder is constituted by forming an Mg-containing oxide deposition insulating film on the surface of a soft magnetic iron powder and is used for producing a composite soft magnetic material having high specific resistance and low core loss. The soft magnetic iron powder is characterized as follows: the conditions of D1<SB>50</SB>=50 to 300 μm and BET1×D1<SB>50</SB>=1.81 to 2.65 are satisfied, assuming that D1<SB>50</SB>and BET1 represent an average grain diameter and a BET value, respectively; the condition of BET2×D2<SB>50</SB>=1.50 to 2.00 is satisfied, assuming that D2<SB>50</SB>and BET2 represent, with respect to a powder obtained by screening the soft magnetic iron powder through a sieve of a mesh having a value one-half the D1<SB>50</SB>, an average grain diameter and a BET value, respectively; a degree of circularity is 0.840 to 0.875; and a degree of irregularity is 0.940 to 0.948. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
