PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain favorable optical performance and to achieve miniaturization and reduction of weight in an imaging lens. SOLUTION: This imaging lens 2 includes in order from the object side first, a first lens group G1 having positive power as a whole; a second lens group G2 in which the object side surface of a lens closest to the object side is concave toward the object side; a third lens group G3 of a single lens having a positive powder; and a fourth lens group G4 having a negative power as a whole.
