PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electro-optical device and electronic equipment, for preventing a damage caused by static electricity. SOLUTION: This electro-optical device is provided with a liquid crystal panel LCP, and a frame 1 storing the liquid crystal panel LCP. A conductive part 30 comprising a conductive material is arranged in an inner face 3a of the frame 1 along a thickness-directional end face 14 of the liquid crystal panel LCP, and the conductive part 30 is grounded. The static electricity SE is guided to the conductive part 30 having higher conductivity than that of the liquid crystal panel LCP, and the static electricity SE is thereby prevented from entering the liquid crystal panel LCP.
