APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING THE PRESENTATION OF MEDIA CONTENT

Methods, apparatus/systems and encoded media for creating and using media presentations having a media content component and a control component wherein the control component may include digital rights management ("DRM") modification abilities for altering DRM parameters or other parameters such as a user interface ("Ul") application program after presentation distribution. The control component may also affect pointer means for acquiring, operating, or copying extrinsic data and/or applications from a location remote from the environment in which the presentation means is operative. Embodiments of the invention may also include methods, apparatus/systems and encoded media for scanning media presentations for the presence of a user and/or machine discernible tag. A routine can then be performed the parameters of which are determined, at least in part, by the constitution of the discernible tag.
