<p>Provided is an impact tool, which is improved in its structure for absorbing an impact to be caused by the rebound of a bit after an impacting action. The impact tool comprises a tool body (103), hammer actuating members (119 and 145), an impacter (143), a weight portion (163), to which reactions from the hammer actuating members (119 and 145) are transmitted at a reaction transmitting position, when the hammer actuating members perform hammer actions, and which is moved by the transmitted reactions from the reaction transmitting position in a direction different from that of the longitudinal axis of the hammer actuating members, and an elastically deformable elastic element (165). The weight portion (163) is constituted to change in its state between a first state before the reaction is transmitted and a second state, in which the weight portion is moved by the transmission of the reaction in a direction different from the longitudinal axis direction of the hammer actuating members. Moreover, the elastic element (165) actuates a biasing force so that the weight portion (163) may come into the first state. When the weight portion (163) is changed by the reaction from the first state to the second state, the elastic element is elastically deformed by the push of the weight portion (163), thereby to absorb the reaction transmitted to the weight portion (163).</p> |
