1. A method for power headroom reporting in a telecommunication system, the method comprising:
configuring a user equipment, at a time, to send a first media access control (MAC) subheader and a first power headroom report (PHR) control element, the first MAC subheader including a first logical channel identifier (LCID), the first LCD corresponding to a power headroom report for a single component carrier; receiving the first PHR control element from the user equipment; processing the first PHR control element; configuring the user equipment, at another Lime, to send a second MAC subheader and a second PHR control element, the second MAC subheader including a second LCID, the second LCD indicating a bitmap in the second PHR control element, the bitmap including a plurality of bits for power headroom reports for a plurality of secondary cells; receiving the second PHR control element from the user equipment; and processing the second PHR control element.
