PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for effective sterilization by increasing a generation amount of radicals without increasing an ozone amount.SOLUTION: A washing machine is provided that includes: a washing tub 3 provided rotatably in a water tub 2; a motor 7 for rotationally driving the washing tub 3; active oxygen generation means 18 for generating active oxygen such as radicals and ozone; ozone decomposition means 19 for decreasing an ozone amount in the active oxygen generated in the active oxygen generation means 18; and control means 14 for controlling each step of washing, rinsing, dewatering, sterilizing and the like. The control means 14 introduces the active oxygen in which the ozone amount is decreased by the ozone decomposition means 19 into the washing tub 3, in the sterilization step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
