SILICONE OIL-TREATED SILICA PARTICLES AND TONER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

Silicone oil-treated silica particles are provided with a silica particle body and silicone oil. The BET specific surface of the silica particle body is 70-120 m2/g. The silica particle body is surface-treated with silicone oil. The amount of free silicone oil that is separated from the surface of the silica particle body among the silicone oil is 2.0-5.0 mass% with respect to the silica particle body. The degree of agglomeration of surface-treated styrene-acrylic resin particles in which 2 parts by mass of silicone oil-treated silica particles are mixed with 100 parts by mass of styrene-acrylic resin particles having a median particle size value of 5-8 µm is 18% or less.
