<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tyrosinase activity inhibitor which is suitably used for uses of a whitening agent, a food browning inhibitor, etc. elucidating tyrosinase activity repress effect of a substance extracted from a natural plant and separated and a manufacturing method and chemical composition formula of the effective component thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The tyrosinase activity inhibitor is an extract of lemon glass with tyrosinase activity inhibiting action, which is extracted from lemon glass (Cymbopogon citratus) using a poler solvent (A).
