PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system and an information management method with which the state of work in necessary maintenance information can be managed.SOLUTION: A management device 1 comprises: a transmission part 2 that invokes maintenance information including a necessary work item corresponding to an image forming apparatus 10 from a storage device 7 and transmits the information to the image forming apparatus; and a receiving part 3 that receives information on completion of the work item in the maintenance information from the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes a receiving part 11 that receives the maintenance information from the management device, and a transmission part 11 that transmits the received information on completion of the work item in the maintenance information to the management device. The storage device stores the information on completion of the work item in the maintenance information received by the receiving part of the management device in association with the image forming apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
