[Problem] To provide: a steering holding determination device for vehicles which detects or does not falsely detect a steering holding state under various situations, is capable of precisely and instantaneously detecting the steering holding state even if noise is superimposed on a signal used for the detection, and is capable of accurately performing current limiting for a motor; and an electric power steering device provided with the steering holding determination device. [Solution] A steering holding determination device for vehicles is provided which includes: at least two steering angle sensors that detect steering angles; and a steering state determination unit that calculates a hysteresis center value by using a hysteresis signal having a hysteresis range set for each steering angle, determines the steering state by using the hysteresis center value, and outputs tentative steering information, wherein a steering holding state is detected on the basis of the tentative steering information. An electric power steering device provided with the steering holding determination device is also provided. |
