PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical pencil including a core protection member not needing any extra operation force during the delivering operation of a writing core.SOLUTION: A mechanical pencil includes a core protection member 13 disposed between a core fixing chuck 5 and a holding chuck 12, the front end part thereof being fitted to the holding chuck 12 side, and the rear end part thereof being fitted to be slidable in an axial direction with respect to the core fixing chuck 5. In the core protection member 13, an axially linear protection surface disposed to face a writing core along the longitudinal direction of the writing core L positioned between the core fixing chuck 5 and the holding chuck 12 is intermittently disposed along the peripheral side surface of the writing core L.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
