ARRAY SUBSTRATE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

An array substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance the output property of a gate driving circuit and to prevent the fault operation from being generated due to the erosion and disconnection. A gate member comprises a gate line formed on a base substrate. A gate electrode is branched from the gate line. A gate insulating layer covers the gate member and has the first and second thickness at the first and second areas. A semiconductor layer is formed on the gate insulating layer corresponding to the first area. A data member includes a data line equipped to the gate insulating layer. A source electrode(SE) is branched from the data line, equipped on the semiconductor layer corresponding to the first area and located oppositely to the gate electrode. A drain electrode(DE) is separated from the source electrode and equipped on the semiconductor layer corresponding to the first area. A pixel area(PE) is electrically connected with the drain electrode. A gate driving circuit is directly formed on the base substrate and outputs a gate signal to the gate line.
