<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp wherein a globe can be formed so as to have an identical or an approximate size to that of an electric bulb for general illumination, and deterioration of light emitting efficiency can be suppressed, and to provide a luminaire to which this compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: This compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp 1 has a bulb 11 formed by connecting a plurality of U-shaped tubes 7, 8, 9 the tube diameters of which are 3 to 8 mm, and a capillary tube 13 is connected to the top part 8a of at least the U-shaped tube 8. The compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is also equipped with an arc tube 2 having the maximum diameter D1, D2 of 30 mm or less in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the bulb 11, a lighting circuit 3, a support member 4 which supports the arc tube 2 and is directly and indirectly fixed to a base 5, and a globe 6 which is directly and indirectly mounted to the base 5 and the opening end part 6a of which has the maximum diameter D3 of 35 mm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
