An ink jet recording apparatus (12) is to coat droplets discharged from a nozzle on a printing target moving on a main scan direction perpendicular to a sub-scan direction. Nozzles provided on one end of the nozzle rows placed in correspondence to a module head (621) arranged most closely to a second line head (100) among a plurality of modules arranged in a first line head (99) and a module head (622) arranged most closely to the first line head (99) among the module heads arranged in the second line head (100), are offset from each other such that the nozzles are not provided on a line parallel to the sub-scan direction. Accordingly, the distance between the adjacent line heads can be increased without changing the printing pitch, and the interference between the line heads can be reduced. |
