The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a flexographic printing plate, which enables the production of a flexographic printing plate that has excellent storage stability under high-temperature high-humidity conditions, good rinsing properties with respect to carving dust, and excellent printing durability. A method for producing a flexographic printing plate according to the present invention is characterized by comprising, in the following order: a step for forming a relief formation layer that is formed of a resin composition; a step for obtaining a crosslinked relief formation layer by crosslinking the relief formation layer by heat; a step for forming a relief layer by laser-engraving the crosslinked relief formation layer; and a step for rinsing the surface of the relief layer using an aqueous alkaline solution. This method for producing a flexographic printing plate is also characterized in that: the resin composition contains at least one polymer that is selected from the group consisting of polyisoprenes and polybutadienes (component (A)), a thermal polymerization initiator (component (B)), and less than 0.1% by mass (including 0% by mass) of a compound having a hydrolyzable silyl group and/or a silanol group; the component (A) has a Mooney viscosity of 20 or more; and the content of the component (B) is 2% by mass or more. |
