<p>PURPOSE:To provide the synthesizing device for the soot body for an optical fiber which improves the sticking yield and sticking speed of glass particulates for the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:A burner 21 and electrifying nozzles 23, 25 are disposed in the positions facing each other with the soot body 3 in-between. The soot body 3 moves back and forth with respect to the burner 21. Ions 44 are injected from the electrifying nozzle 25 toward the soot body 3 when the soot body 3 moves in a direction A. An electrode wire 26 is disposed within the electrifying nozzle 25 and the ions 44 electrified to a negative polarity are stuck to the soot body 3, thereby electrifying the soot body 3 negative. An electrode wire 22 is disposed in the burner 21 as well and the glass particulate flames 41 which are electrified positive are radiated toward the soot body 3. The flamy glass particulates electrified to a positive polarity are injected to the soot body 3 from the burner 21 in the state of electrifying the soot body 3 by the negative ions 44 and, therefore, the adhesion yield is improved by the static electricity force in addition to the injection force thereof. More particularly, the glass particulate flames 41 are parted from the soot body 3 to the extent of not bringing the flames into contact with the soot body 3, by which the neutralization of the electrification by the flow of the current to the glass particulate flames 41 from the soot body 3 is prevented.</p> |
